The Ideal Candidate must be able to meet the below requirements:
- Analyze required bid documents, blueprints, and project specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Ability to research historical project data to produce a budget for clients
- Determine lead times and/or what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
- Prepare material estimates, Labor estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors, Client’s Subcontractor’s, and contractors
- Manage bids from vendors and contractors and use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis
- Compile and record actual costs
- Ensure that estimates meet client requirements. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project
- Review drawings and specifications and provide scope of works for all trades
- Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial proposal and bid qualifications
- Collaborate well with other estimating staff to develop a well-rounded budget and proposal
- Meet with Project Managers once project has been awarded.
- 7-10 years previous commercial construction estimating necessary experience and skill set
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Advanced math skills and computer knowledge
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team Player
- Must have good driving record
- Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and travel as needed. This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
