The Ideal Candidate must be able to meet the below requirements:
  • Analyze required bid documents, blueprints, and project specifications to gain a thorough understanding of the project
  • Ability to research historical project data to produce a budget for clients
  • Determine lead times and/or what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
  • Prepare material estimates, Labor estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors, Client’s Subcontractor’s, and contractors
  • Manage bids from vendors and contractors and use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis
  • Compile and record actual costs
  • Ensure that estimates meet client requirements. Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project
  • Review drawings and specifications and provide scope of works for all trades
  • Deliver a consistent and well-defined initial proposal and bid qualifications
  • Collaborate well with other estimating staff to develop a well-rounded budget and proposal
  • Meet with Project Managers once project has been awarded.
  • 7-10 years previous commercial construction estimating necessary experience and skill set
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Advanced math skills and computer knowledge
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Team Player
  • Must have good driving record
  • Normal Working Hours, Additional Working Hours and travel as needed. This is a full-time position, working 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
