POSITION / TITLE:  Line Lead


CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the supervision of production employees in their daily activities.  Makes job assignments for plant personnel and directs maintenance, cleaning, destruction, and quality control.  Has the authority to hire and fire.  Responsible for purchase of plant supplies for equipment, safety, and other plant requirements.  Establishes and adjusts work procudures to meet production schedules.  Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.  Analiyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving problems.  Initiates or suggests plans to motivate employees. Interprets company policies to employees and enforces safety regulations.  Interprets specifications and job orders to employees.  Works closely with employees to achieve production goals.

 

Hazardous Waste Requirements

  1. Overall operation and maintenance of the hazardous waste/materials facility and storage areas.
  2. Ensures the facility stays in compliance with all applicable regulations, permits, and operating conditions. Notifies company management of any noncompliance or potential noncompliance with regulatory standards.
  3. Oversees and reviews the activities of the team leaders and employees.
  4. Ensures the employees under their supervision have received proper training in:
  5. Operation of equipment (tow-motors, air testers, pumps, etc.).
  6. Proper safety procedures.
  7. Proper emergency procedures.
  8. Ensures the employees maintain all proper operating and monitoring records.
  9. Notifies the President, media coordinator, environmental consultant and any other authorities necessary in an emergency situation.
  10. Assists in scheduling of maintenance and repairs to equipment and structures at the facility.

8.   Trains new employees on how to operate waste/material handling and recycling                  

       equipment.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in chemical, container recycling industry or industrial environment.  Good communication and people skills

 


TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:   

Core Safety Training, 

  1. OSHA
  2. Right-To-Know- initial training plus + annual refresher
  3. HAZWOPER (8 HOURS) + annual refresher + contingency plan

2.   RCRA within 6 months of hire and annual update (See Above)

  1. General- initial training plus + annual refresher
  2. Waste handling and management- initial training plus + annual refresher
  3. Waste Identification- initial training plus + annual refresher
  4. Waste Characterization- initial training plus + annual refresher
  5. Waste Inventory and Profile Sheet- initial training plus + annual refresher
  6. Contingency Plan- initial training plus + annual refresher
  7. Waste Management SOP’s- initial training plus + annual refresher
  8. Receiving SOP- initial training plus + annual refresher
  9. Waste Generation and Off-site shipment SOP- initial training plus + annual refresher
  10. Pulling Bottles SOP- initial training plus + annual refresher
  11. DOT
  12. HM126F Training- initial training plus + annual refresher
  13. EMERGENCY
  14. Procedures/contingency plan- initial training plus + annual refresher
  15. Equipment
